JouleVert is headed by Colin Matthews who has a decade’s experience of the alternative fuel and vehicles market. Colin helped build the Mobil Compressed Natural Gas business with the launch of the CleanerBurn Natural Gas brand. By engaging with the press Mobil became the voice of Natural gas for vehicle fuels.
Natural Gas (and now BioMethane) provides one of the cleanest exhaust emissions of any road vehicle and is economic particularly for Goods Vehicles.
Colin was also involved with BP and their LPG business helping assess business growth, technical issues and new vehicle applications. Helped in the early assessment of diesel-LPG systems and their suitability for HGVs
Working as Head of Transport Grant programmes at The Energy
Saving Trust, Colin was responsible for co-ordinating the requirements of
the principal funders (DfT, Scottish executive and the Welsh Assembly Government)
and the involvement of industry and transport users. He was a key figure in
the presentation and approval of programmes with the EU and was invited to
give presentations at the Cleaner Vehicles and Fuels European Symposium in
Stockholm in both 2004 and 2005. Colin represented the trust on the Low Carbon
vehicle partnership Fuels Working Group helping the development of Biofuels
with the associated Carbon and Sustainability reporting.
